Why Sharing Matters — Awakening the Light Within

The power of sharing our truth is beyond what we know. When we share with others, the experience amplifies, and in the process, we transform.

And each time we share, we grow and affirm this new version of ourselves.

Sharing is caring. Sharing our ideas, work, and experiences with others magnifies them. What we share materializes, grows, and expands beyond our control and understanding.

Deepening into this mystery, by daring to be ourselves with others, our true nature has the conditions to emerge. More so, as we are alive and confident in our being, we inspire others.

As such, an essential part of my personal and spiritual growth is to share with the world what I am learning and living — What I am feeling, seeing, and dreaming.

And one of the ways is through this blog with these very words.

This dynamic flow of creation forms a sacred bond between the inner work and the outer — which are intrinsically connected and constantly informing one another.

By keeping our work to ourselves, only part of the work is done, because the circle is not tied together in the end. All the preparations that were made, if not completed, somehow dissolve and fade.

Sharing the Sweetness of Life

Like baking a cake, meticulously combining all the ingredients, purposefully measuring, mixing, and crafting with care. The work of art is carefully placed in the center of the oven to the perfect degree.

And as we remove it, we know that it is done. The scent tells the story, as our senses come alive.

What a waste if all the preparations had been made, investing our precious energy and time, only to leave out the last touch that brings it all together.

Part one is to complete the work, bake the cake, and place the shiny cherry on top. And then what?

Then it is time to share with family and friends and enjoy the sweetness of life together.

All that effort with no one to share it with somehow lowers the potential of what it could be. Somehow, the more who partake, the more alive the moment becomes — each person amplifying the experience.

Bringing the Work into the Light – Sharing My Truth includes the All

And in that sense, hiding away behind closed curtains, we can work and prepare, adjust and refine something for an eternity without it seeing the light of day. And it is not until we place it on stage, for the eyes of the world to see, that it somehow becomes real.

Real beyond our personal experience and the restricted world that only we know.

Moreover, knowing that others will be able to see, taste, listen to, read, smell, or feel something that came from our efforts adds a sense of accountability and importance.

And with that, the motivation to be more precise and professional in our endeavor.

Suddenly, the work matters more. Because now it has the potential to add value to others. And on the flipside, it may be judged.

It adds fuel to the fire, knowing that others are involved and it matters beyond me.

It is the beautiful intersection between the intrinsic human fear of being judged and excluded, joined together with the natural desire to contribute and present ourselves well.

And in the equilibrium between the two, perhaps, there is where genius may be found?

What and When to Share?

Sharing our truth comes with some restrictions of love and care. By respecting ourselves and thoose around, because of course, not everything is meant to be shared, and everything has its place and time.

Some things are secret and sacred, meant only for us. But there comes a moment — and we know it — when something is ready to be released.

The prerequisite is that we like, enjoy, and are somehow proud of what we’ve made. That we find it valuable, worth reading, and thus worth sharing.

If we believe it has the potential to inspire, awaken, inform, enlighten, or open new doors to a more beautiful world, we should strongly consider sharing it.

Because who knows who our message might reach and how it may resonate? Who knows how it may serve and add light to the world?

Well, if we do not share our work of art, no one will ever know, and we will never find out. Sometimes we simply have to trust and take a leap of faith.

Especially when our gut says so.

Service and Meaning Beyond the Self

What a joy if our talents and gifts could benefit the world and serve beyond our personal selves and close family.

Wouldn’t that make it all worth it? The pain, the struggle, and the heartbreak — the long hours at the office, and the late-night practice.

The hardships of life have helped shape us and taught us invaluable lessons. What if all that we have lived could be channeled into our unique artistic contribution?

The challenging moments would not only make sense but could even be seen as graceful gifts from God?

Perhaps not in the moment, perhaps not today. But if we surrender to our higher calling, devote ourselves, and share our inner light with the world, maybe tomorrow?

And what we thought was a punishment from God might suddenly seem like that blessing in disguise that they speak about?

And with our conscious contribution, we might save another from a treacherous passage and guide them with the light of our experience.

What an honor to be a part of a higher purpose beyond our personal survival, comfort, and pleasure.

And all we have to do is to share what we have and can today. And as life evolves, so do we, and we will share anew tomorrow again.

Sharing Our Truth

This is an essential part of our human experience; that every one of us is enabled to live our personal truth and allowed to add our unique click of color to the world.

Living for something beyond ourselves matters more than we can realize until we are there, immersed in our personal mission, at the point of no return.

Because here we are, each one in our own unique form and way. Empowered with the crafts we were designed with and inclined to share.

And how to discover these deep, hidden, dormant, and radiant parts of ourselves?

We begin where we are, share what we have and can, and from there, the layers will fall off and the light will align.

Sharing My Truth

This work then. These very words. Being a beginning and continuation of finding my voice by speaking it.

Leaving judgment and the idea of perfection outside, we allow ourselves to express from where we are here and now.

And as we dare to do that, our expression will evolve, our voice will solidify, and our higher purpose and potential will arise and reveal itself.

Step by step. Breath by breath. Truth by truth.

And perhaps, just maybe, these words may bring something of value to someone else.

Maybe it can be as “small” as “knowing we are not alone”.

And as such, with all the honesty and transparency I can currently muster, I am sharing my personal truths for the world to see and receive as it will.

Who Are You and What Do You Have to Say?

And with that, the invitation is for you to do the same in your own way. May it be as small and simple or as dramatic and expressive as you choose.

Knowing that the result matters less and our authentic effort matters more.

Because with every conscious step we learn, grow, adapt, and evolve.

And as such, each experience of trial and error, every honest word, and any act of self-expression is one step closer to our true self.

Who Am I and What is My Truth?

Honest reflection and contemplation is a great start towards discovering where we might begin or move next. Ask yourself:

What talents and gifts do I have that are waiting to be honed, honored, and shared with the world?

What do I want to learn, know, and master?

What thoughts excite me and activate my flow?

What do I want to share with the world? What do I want to see more of? How can I contribute?

What mystery might come alive when I dare to share?

Who am I beneath the closed curtains of fear?

Dare to Share because the Power is in Your Hands.

Joakim, I remember you, many times in my struggles. I think of my viking. The day we did the painting at Penninghame. That was the day I took control of myself, and who I wanted to be. I don’t know if you remember imprinting your hands on my shirt, I felt safe, I felt seen and felt at peace with who I could be. No one knew the significance of your hands on me, not even you, but after years of abuse I was finally able to see I am not just a sexual object, I felt warmth and love. If only people could understand the impact they might have on a soul, good or bad, the world could be so beautiful. I still have that shirt, and I look at it often, it reminds me of who I am and of your beautiful soul. Thank you for being a part of my journey, however small it may have been to you, but please be aware your soul touched me and opened my universe x x x x
