Intuition is listening to life’s subtle callings. Discernment helps us calibrate our being, noticing how signals carry weight and guide us. Life speaks, and when we are attentive, we learn to hear.
Listening to Intuition – The Language of Life
It may be something that I see or some thing that happens to me.
It may be the words from a stranger or the sharing with a friend.
Suddenly in a moment, emotions feel so real.
The flight of a bird or the thunder in the sky.
The cry of a child or the tumult in the street.
Attentive throughout the day, of what may catch my eye,
of what may pull my sleeve, of what attracts my ear.
A tickle in my bones. A nudge which gently shows.
Aware of where attention in the moment is being drawn.
An event that seems so special and pops out from the crowd,
Without apparent logic, a sign concealed inside.
Being careful not to exaggerate and creating what is not.
Though when something at me pulling; it’s not by random fate.
Hidden is a message beyond discerning thought.
This poem reminds us that Life interacts with us in countless ways. God, the Universe, or Spirit communicates through various forms, and the more attentive we are, the more receptive we become.
Messages arrive through words, gestures, and the way we are met by others. God speaks through animals, humans, and the subtle rhythms of nature. Within each event, situation, and encounter lies hidden clues ready to be discovered and embodied.
When a moment feels unusually vivid, a coincidence too striking to ignore, there is something there for sure. You sense it in your body, perhaps as chills along your spine or a quiet knowing inside. Be attentive. Trust your gut and intuition. Pause, reflect, and tune in.
What is the message? What are you being asked to notice, remember, and pay your attention to?
With this awareness, we develop our capacity to notice these quiet signals without forcing meaning. By being curious about the mysteries of Life, we welcome guidance and grow in our ability to discern.
This openness allows us to tune into our own intuition as well as to higher guidance – the voice of life.
